Buff Scott will be presenting (in session 303) at Fusion 13, the Annual itSMF Conference in Nashville, TN, Oct 21, 2013.

ITIL says that a process should be measurable, documented, and controlled. What documents are necessary and what information should those documents contain? In this session, Buff Scott will describe and provide examples of the three documents that should be created for each ITIL process an organization plans to implement: the process policy, plan, and SOP. Attendees will walk away with a solid understanding of these documents and their content, and why they are important to any ITIL process implementation.

Buff Scott has more than thirty years of experience in the IT industry. He's a versatile leader with extensive management experience, and he's an accredited ITIL v3 Expert, ITIL Trainer, and HDI Faculty member. Among his many other skills and accomplishments, Buff's been designing and implementing ITIL processes since 2001, and he specializes in business and IT process reengineering.

Jim Bolton will be presenting in (session 803) at Fusion 12, the Annual itSMF Conference in Dallas TX, Oct 31, 2012.

If so many organizations are making the journey toward business alignment, where is the public transportation system? Why would I want to go there anyway? The business people all speak a different language and their culture is very different from mine. It’s a little scary, and I’ve heard of people who started the journey but got lost and were never heard from again.

Travel always involves both risk and reward. If you have never fully achieved business alignment, or if you started the journey and got lost along the way, this session is for you. Your tour guide will be answering questions like: What does business alignment look like? Why would we want to go there? How can we plan for a successful journey? Is there a shorter route? Who should I include in my travel party, and what are their roles and responsibilities? What should I expect to see along the way? How will I measure my distance traveled? Most importantly, how will I know when we have arrived? (Fundamental)
